Hello my loves! I keep The Healing Hype open as an archive of my former Substack. But if you’ve subscribed recently, I am sad to share I have nothing new to offer. Though I’m grateful to the people who still have this on their recommended list!
I shut The Healing Hype down because I found it confusing to maintain my non-Substack email newsletter, where I share about healing and coaching services, and this Substack.
However, last year, I decided to revive a Substack I started in 2019 and re-brand it, Memoirs of a Nisha because I’m writing a memoir about my divorce and mother wound (and I love a good writing pun!)
Here’s the logline:
After waking up to the realization that she has drowned her identity in an abusive marriage, a South Asian American woman wrestles with leaving her alcoholic husband while untangling patterns from her childhood that led her into his arms in the first place. Written as a letter to her mother, this is a story about learning the difference between escape and freedom and healing the wounds that pull you away from your voice.
Sound interesting? In my new Substack, I’m reviewing memoirs (without spoilers) and sharing thoughts about writing my memoir. If this appeals to you, subscribe here.
If you prefer healing things, subscribe to my regular newsletter here.
K, thanks byeeee!
